-Benedictine Church of S. Giorgio Maggiore by Palladio on an Island across from S. Marco

-Basilica of S. Marco including the treasure (Pala d'Oro or Gold Altar and Bronze Horse upstairs)

-Grand Benedictine abbey church of S. Giorgio Maggiore by Palladio (1565-1610)

-Baroque church of S. Maria della Salute

- Boat to Island of Murano

Murano, suburb of Venice, on five small islands in the Lagoon of Venice. From the late 13th cent. it was the center of the Venetian glass industry, which reached a peak in the 16th cent. and was revived in the 19th century. Today mirrors and optical instruments are also manufactured. With its old houses, canals, and bridges, Murano has the same quaint charm as Venice. Of note are a Venetian-Byzantine basilica (7th–12th cent.) and a museum of old and new Venetian glass.

-Frari (franciscan church)

YES- in 3 days i will see ALL of this. Totally worth the money. 

Then Rome the next weekend, and fried mars bars with MKP in Edinburgh!!
